Are you looking for an easier way to ship orders than ever before? Our ShipStation integration streamlines the fulfillment process by allowing you to send orders placed on OMG stores directly to ShipStation.
With the ShipStation integration, you'll save time by having increased visibility on order shipments. You will also be able to ship internationally, access EOD manifests, adjust to heightened shipping demands, and provide convenient shipping options, to better meet your customer's needs.
This integration allows you the option to choose which shipping solution works best for your business.
Important Note: You will have to sign up for ShipStation, have an account, and be familiar with shipping functionality from their platform.
How to set it up
Step 1: Go into "Dealer Settings" and click on the Integrations tab.
Step 2: Click "Settings" next to the ShipStation Integration → You will see 3 fields that will be used to create a ShipStation "Custom Store".
Step 3: Log into ShipStation and click on the gear in the upper righthand corner. This will take you to a page where you will set up a Selling Channel.
Step 4: Under the Import Orders Section, there is a link for "Selling Channels". Click Selling Channels and you will see a green button to connect to a store.
Step 5: Once you click "Connect to a Store" you will be prompted with a logo table, but you won't find OMG there. You will have to type in "Custom Store".
Step 6: After clicking on "Custom Store", you will get a pop-up form asking for URL/Username/Password.
Step 7: Enter the information from the OMG ShipStation Settings page, URL/Username/Password, into the corresponding fields on the Custom Store page into ShipStation.
Step 8: After inputting the credentials into ShipStation, you will click Connect in the lower right hand corner.
After following each step, orders placed on the OMG platform will begin to pull into ShipStation. By default, ShipStation will only pull in orders from the last seven days. If orders were placed on the OMG platform further back than seven days, you will need to contact ShipStation support and request for them to adjust the time frame of orders from seven days, to the required number of days, to retrieve the desired orders.
A Few Things to Remember
- You will have to sign up for ShipStation, have an account, and be familiar with shipping functionality from their platform.
- OMG Support does not service ShipStation functionality.
- ShipStation functionality does not come into the OMG platform. Once labels are created on the ShipStation platform, the tracking number will be populated on the OMG Shipping screen, but it will be purely informational.
- If you choose to use the ShipStation integration you won't be able to create labels in the system using our Shippo integration. You can disconnect the ShipStation integration at any time, which will return the Shippo functionality within the OMG platform.
- When the ShipStation integration is turned on, the Shipping page will no longer display the Label Status column.
