When a customer places an order in a store, it is a one-time charge. Sometimes your customer will see ‘recurring’ on their credit card statement, even for non-subscription charges. Our CC processor, Stripe, does not store CVC codes so they mark payments made with saved payment information as ‘recurring’ so the card-issuing bank knows why the charge request is missing that information. You can read more information on this by going to Stripe's support page here.
Note: The reason why Stripe does not store CVC codes is due to PCI Compliance.
