With Store Templates, users can launch stores faster and with more confidence than ever before. There are now three options to select from when creating a new store. You can choose a pre-built template store stocked with supplier-recommended, high inventory products, choose a store template created by you or a user on your account, or choose to build a store the traditional way—from scratch.
To access these three options, navigate to the Stores tab, then click Create Store.
You will be presented with three different options to create your store:
- Supplier Templates
- Your Templates
- Start from Scratch
Supplier Templates
Supplier Templates allow users to choose from pre-built template stores stocked with supplier-recommended, high inventory products. This option is particularly helpful for reducing out-of-stock or backorder scenarios. You can still edit the branding, personalization, or add/remove/edit products on the store if this option is selected.
Once ‘Supplier Templates’ is selected, you will be prompted to select a preferred supplier. Once a supplier has been selected, then click the Select Supplier button.
- Suppliers currently include Under Armour, Founder Sport Group, GILL Athletics, SanMar, Champro, Pennant, and we will continue to add more suppliers to this list.
Once you’ve selected a preferred supplier, here’s an example of what your storefront will look like:
Pro Tip: We recommend sticking with the existing products within a Supplier Template, as these products are hand-picked by suppliers and are the most inventory-safe.
Your Templates
"Your Templates" allows users to create their own store templates within their account, based on a previously created store and the products within that store. Users can still edit the branding, personalization, or add/remove/edit products on the store if this option is selected.
To create your own template, you will first need to make a new store (or make a copy of an existing store) and customize that store to your preferences, including branding, personalization, and product selection. Make sure this is a year-round store, with no set deadline. Once your store is set up the way you want it, go to the General tab of the store editor and find the "Save as Template" button, pictured below. Click that and the store will be saved to your account as a template!
Start from Scratch
Start from Scratch allows you to build a store as you normally would, without using a store template. Users can edit the branding, personalization, or add/remove/edit products as normal on the store if this option is selected.
Whether you need to build a store in a pinch, or are creating a store from the ground up, you now have access to a variety of options to meet your store-building needs!
Archiving a Store Template
At some point, it may be necessary to say goodbye to a template that has seen the end of its usefulness for one reason or another. When that time comes, it may be best to archive that template to make sure your available templates stay current and uncluttered. To archive a template, simply follow these steps:
- Navigate to any store, then edit that store
- Click on "Manage your Template"
- Select the template you'd like to archive
- Edit the template like you would edit a store
- Click "Save as Template" to remove the checkmark identifying this store as a template, turning it back into a normal store
- Save, close, and archive the store
