So you've selected the products for your store and you have your artwork files on your computer but how do you get the artwork added to the products? With the Image Editor, you can quickly add artwork directly to the product images!

Accessing the Image Editor

1. Click into the store.
2. Click on Edit store - located in the Build section.
   
3. Click on the Products tab.
4. Select the desired product.
5. Click on the Images tab.
6. Click on the Edit icon, and an editing window will pop up.

Meet the Image Editor

1. CANVAS: This is your workspace to add artwork, logos, and text to the product image.
2. COPY/PASTE: This feature allows you to copy and paste artwork onto different product images.
3. UNDO/REDO: These will enable you to either undo or redo any of the actions that you recently performed on your active canvas.
4. FLIP: This allows you to flip your artwork over an axis to show on your product image.
5. ROTATE: This enables you to adjust your artwork.
6. RECOLOR: This makes it easy to recolor your artwork to a single color.
7. BACK: This will take you back to the image tab. Remember to save any changes you want to keep before clicking.
8. LAYERS SECTION: Added artwork and text will show here as different cards. This makes it easy to duplicate, order, or delete those items.
9. UPLOAD IMAGE: Click here to upload images, artwork, or logos to add to your product image.
10. ADD TEXT: Click here to add text to your product image.
11. IMAGE CAPTION: This text corresponds to the input you made in the Image Caption field on the Image tab.
12. SAVE ALL: Click this to save all edits and changes made to your product image(s).
13. VARIANTS SECTION: This is where you can see how many colors and images you have available of your product. This is also where you can navigate between variants to copy artwork across multiple images.

How to Upload an Artwork File/Logo

To upload an artwork file to add to your product image, select “Upload Image” (9) in your Artwork Editor.

1. UPLOAD IMAGE: From here you can either drag and drop your artwork file or click upload to select it from your files. Supported file types include .gif, .jpg, and .png.
2. REMOVE: If you end up loading an artwork file you would like to delete, a remove option will appear for you to delete it.
3. ARTWORK LIBRARY: This library section will provide quick access to the most recent artwork files used on the store. This library will only show recently-used artwork files on the store level, not the account level (across stores).
4. INSERT IMAGE: Once you have made your artwork file selection, click “Insert Image” to place it on your product image canvas.

Adjusting Artwork Files on a Product Image

Once artwork is uploaded onto the product image, there are a few ways you can adjust it to show best on your product image.

1. POSITION ARTWORK: Artwork is able to be stretched, resized, and rotated on the product image.
2. LAYER CARD: Once an artwork file or text field has been added to your canvas, a layer card will be created here so you can further edit the element.
3. REMOVE WHITE BACKGROUND: This allows you to remove white background on your artwork.

Adding Text to a Product Image

1. ADD TEXT: This allows you to add text to your product images.
2. TEXT: Click on the placed text to edit, color, font, and resize your text on the product image.
3. LAYER CARD: Once an artwork file or text field has been added to your canvas, a layer card will be created here so you can further edit the element.

Understanding and Using Layers

Layers will help you edit and organize the different artwork files or texts you place onto your product image.

1. GENERAL INFO: This contains a file thumbnail and file name so you can easily see what item the layer represents.
2. DELETE/COPY LAYER: These icons allow you to delete or copy the layer within your canvas.
3. MOVE LAYER: Grab the six dots on the left-hand side of your layer to move it to a different order or arrangement compared to your other layers.

Copy/Pasting Across Variants

Save time putting logos on product images across variants with this handy little trick!

1. SELECT the artwork or text you want to copy across variants (multiple images or colors of the same product).
2. INPUT the artwork placement region on your images.
3. COPY the layer you have selected.
4. SELECT all the variants in which you want to paste the artwork or text.
5. PASTE across the selected variants.
6. SAVE your work.
