Image and artwork editing can be a pain, and this pain only grows when your store gets larger and includes more products with more options. To help mitigate the trouble of editing a large number of images for your products, we've added bulk image management and artwork editing to the Bulk Actions tab in your store editor! See also, articles for the following:
To get to the bulk images manager, go to the Bulk Actions tab and click on the photo icon in the top right:
From here, you can click the checkmark next to various images, then click the "Image Actions" button to choose what to do with the images you've selected.
Adding and Editing Artwork in Bulk
Once you've selected a range of images, click the "Image Actions" button in the top right, then click "Go To Image Editor". This will bring you to the bulk image editor. The first thing you'll need to do here is upload some artwork. Start by clicking "Upload Image" in the bottom-left corner. Then use the upload window to select a file from your computer, drag a file from your desktop or folder, or select a previously used image to be applied to the product you're editing:
You can then use select your layer (if you only have one piece of artwork uploaded, you only need to worry about one layer) and use the tools above the layer display to modify the artwork you've updated by flipping it, rotating it, or recoloring it. You can also reposition and resize the artwork by clicking on it and manipulating it directly in the workspace. Once you have it how you want it, click "Save All" in the bottom-right:
NOTE: The "Save All" button only saves changes that have been made, it does not automatically apply the artwork to multiple images in the selection.
In order to get your artwork saved to multiple images, first click "Copy" at the top of the page. Then, either click the checkbox on each image to the right that you want the artwork to apply to, or click the checkbox for "Select All" to select every image that was pulled into the editor. All you need to do to get the artwork onto all of the images is click "Paste". Don't forget to click "Save All" when you're done!
You will then see that the images to the right now bear the artwork that you saved. You can click on each individual picture to view and work on that image, specifically. You can also back out of the bulk image editor and see the changes reflected on the product's thumbnails in the bulk image manager:

Best Practices/Suggestions
The video above walks through how we best suggest utilizing store templates functionality to easily create a store from a template to then bulk replace your artwork on placeholder images. If you haven't already, you can review this tutorial which details how to create a Store Template. These steps are recommended if you have a selection of products you commonly offer across all your stores. This will help reduce the amount of time you spend building a store! We recommend when following this process that you first remove color/variants you are NOT offering before you Bulk Replace logos.
With the Store Template created, navigate to the "Stores" tab, then click "Create Store." Next, choose "Your Templates" and click "Select Store Type." From here, you'll land on a page with all your templates and click to select a template, and hit Select Template. You'll be prompted to provide required information such as:
- Organization
- Industry
- Store Type
- Name
With that information supplied, click "Create New Store" and this will kick-off the process to create a store from a template. Once created, you can navigate into "Edit Store", and then "Bulk Actions" and "Image Actions" to easily bulk replace artwork using the Image Actions tool. You would do this by:
- Check the boxes are all images that you need to replace artwork/logos on.
- Click on the option for "Image Actions."
- Choose the option for "Replace Artwork."
- In the modal window that appears, select the logo you're using from your recent files, or you can upload a new logo.
- Hit "Continue" to proceed through the "Replace Artwork" modal (you may have to do this multiple times).
- Finally hit "Confirm" and the store will begin processing this change.
Once the changes have been made, the modal window will disappear and you will see updated logos appearing on all your selected images.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I know I can add, change, and remove artwork for multiple images, but can I do these things across multiple products?
A: Absolutely! Whenever you open the bulk image editor, it will be opened with whatever images were selected before you clicked on "Image Actions," even if they're from different products. If you want to add the same logo in the same spot on multiple products, this is the best way to do it. If you want all the product images in the bulk image editor at the same time, but only want to make changes to certain selections, just click the checkbox on the products you want to change instead of clicking the checkbox for "Select All".
Q: Do I need to specify the placement location of the artwork I put on my images before saving my changes?
A: We have discontinued this feature in the interests of clarity and ease for our users. You will no longer be required to indicate a placement location for artwork that you add to images using the image editor.

This is helpful for sure! However after you bulk add a design, when you click on the actual item back on "Products", you're not able to edit it on the product anymore. You need to go back and do the bulk actions again to make any edits to one singular design. Can this be updated so that regardless of using the "bulk add image" feature we can still individually edit the designs if needed? Thanks!
Agreeing with Ari's comment above -- this is especially challenging if you duplicate stores, not being able to edit individual products make them "stuck" with older logos. I still find it easier to place one-by-one with copy+paste feature. This tool could be more helpful with a few tweaks! Thanks!
