Entering data from one system to another is a hassle. With the ShopWorks integration, you can transfer orders from your online stores directly to ShopWorks without having to manually re-enter the information. That means more time interacting with customers, finding new business, and growing sales.
Say goodbye to duplicate data entries, and costly errors so you can spend more time on the things that matter!
There are two ways to transfer order data from OMG to ShopWorks.
Option 1 - Exporting to ShopWorks OnSite 8.5
Before moving on to the next steps, reach out to ShopWorks to request an upgrade to OnSite 8.5 and the OMG integration, and reach out to your OMG Account Manager to enable the Sale Export Tab on your account!
Step 1: Locate the store you would like to export from your store list and select "Sale Exports" from the Fulfill section.
Note: If you do not see this section, contact your account manager or support@ordermygear.com to get that enabled.
Step 2: Click on "Select New Export"
Step 3: Select the "JSON Export" option.
Note: If you do not see the JSON Export option in the drop-down, contact your account manager or our support@ordermygear.com to get that enabled.
Step 4: Enter an email address.
Step 5: Click "Run Export"
Step 6: Click on the "Download Link" for the JSON Export that comes up, or check your email for the link so you can upload the file to ShopWorks.
Option 2 - Transferring orders to ShopWorks OnSite 9.1 via API
Before moving on to the next steps, reach out to ShopWorks to request an upgrade to OnSite 9.1.
Step 1: Click "Dealer Settings" from the OMG homepage.
Step 2: Click "Integrations" from the My Account menu.
Step 3: Navigate to the ShopWorks integration section.
Step 4: Click "Settings"
Note: If you do not see this section, contact your account manager or our support@ordermygear.com to get that enabled.
Step 5: If your ShopWorks integration is active, copy the authorization token by clicking the green copy button.
Step 6: Paste the authorization token directly into the ShopWorks application. This allows you to make requests and get order exports from the OrderMyGear orders API.
-
- The Orders API enables users to request OMG order data without having to leave the OnSite application vs. the alternate option of manually downloading the Stock Order Export and importing into OnSite every time.
Additional Considerations:
-
To export OMG orders to ShopWorks using the sale export method, you need to be using OnSite 8.5. Contact ShopWorks to request an upgrade.
-
To transfer OMG orders to ShopWorks via API, you need to be using OnSite 9.1. Contact ShopWorks to request an upgrade.
-
Users can turn the ShopWorks integration off/on at any time, however, if you choose to disable the integration, your existing authorization token will become invalid. You must request a NEW token each time you reconnect to the ShopWorks integration.
-
Once upgraded to OnSite 9.1, you can continue to use both integration options as desired.
