Shipping is an expensive part of running a business. It’s important to charge the correct amount to the end customer in order to best ensure you cover your own costs. Our software lets you choose from many different shipping methods for all different situations.
Step 1: Locate the store that needs a shipping method added.
Step 2: Click Edit Store.
Step 3: Go to the Payment & Info tab.
In the Shipping Methods section, if your store is using a manually added tax, decide if you would like to tax shipping or not.
Our software defaults to taxing, but you can turn it off by clicking the Tax Shipping checkbox.
Note: If you are using our calculated taxes option, then shipping is automatically taxed. If you are using no taxes, then this option will also not be available.
Step 4: Click on the Add Shipping Method dropdown menu for a list of all available shipping methods.
Options with the icon indicate that this option will collect customer shipping information.

Calculated Carrier Shipping
Click here to learn how to add a shipping carrier to your account.
USPS accounts are automatically added to every account as it uses OrderMyGear’s account information, which gives you Commercial Plus pricing.
If you get discounted rates with UPS, please email support@ordermygear.com or call 214-730-0121 and we can help you set that up. We will need your most recent invoice and it must be from within the last 90 days.
If you only enter your basic account information, you will still be billed at your discounted rate, but only standard retail rates will show in your storefronts and at the time of label purchasing.
Note: The rates that are calculated are a combination of package dimension, package weight, origin, and destination address postal codes.
Step 1: Choose a Calculated Carrier Shipping Method from the dropdown menu.
- Any option with a symbol is a calculated carrier shipping method.
Pro Tip: The calculated carrier shipping methods are always at the bottom of the dropdown menu!
Step 2: Click Select Service Level to see a list of all available shipping options from that specific carrier.
Step 3: Select all methods you would like to offer the customers. You can select multiple!
Step 4: The selected options will show up in blue.
Pro Tip: Pay attention to certain weight and size restrictions on certain shipping methods. For example, the weight limit for USPS first class mail packages is 13 ounces = .8125 pounds.
- (Optional) Add a price adjustment to the shipping cost, which will be added on top of the calculated shipping amount.
Step 5: Click on the dropdown menu to choose between flat and percentage.
Step 6: Type in the dimensions of the package you would like the shipping calculations to be based on.
Pro Tip: If you don’t have a standard box size that you use, we suggest using a bigger box size than normal because it’s better to charge more for shipping than less.
Step 7: Click Save.
Success! The shipping method has now been added to your store.
Since our software needs an Origin Address to calculate shipping costs, a new section will appear below the Shipping Methods for Shipment Origin Address.
If the shipping origin address is incorrect, click Edit to make any necessary changes.
